Stuart took ownership of Le Pelley in April 2023, recognising the incredible potential that the business and the team have.
He started his career as a barrister and went on to work in the City of London in venture capital and corporate finance. He went on to work in real estate in the early 1990’s, when he co-founded Varsity Funding, a UK university student accommodation business funded with the Prudential of America and Bankers Trust. In 1997 he co-founded City Lofts Group and as CEO grew the business to become one of the UK’s largest regional residential developers. The company was listed on AIM in 2003 and was de-listed in 2006 when a majority stake was sold to US investors.
More recently Stuart led the acquisition and redevelopment of Priors Hall Park, a 1,000-acre residential scheme with planning for 5,000 houses and Rockingham Speedway. Priors Hall was sold in 2017 and Rockingham sold in 2021.
When Stuart is not in the office he can be found out on the water on his boat or on a racetrack in a classic racing car. He enjoys travelling, skiing and spending time with two daughters.
