Richard Griffiths

Commercial Manager

Richard is our expert in-house QS who takes the lead on our major commercial projects from the initial enquiry, tender, design through to the procurement phases, establishing the programme and sequencing of work on site. He also monitors our projects from installation to completion and maintenance.

He studied Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying at Loughborough University and has three decades of experience working as a QS, both locally and internationally. He worked on Deer Park Melbourne Detention Centre and the University of Melbourne Science Block builds when he lived in Australia. He has been involved in the delivery of several landmark projects in Jersey, including the Radisson Hotel, the Waterfront, the redevelopment of the Charing Cross site and he was part of the team who managed the Nightingale Hospital build during the Covid Pandemic in 2020.

At Le Pelley his primary responsibility is working on the commercial and financial management of the business, whilst overseeing the general day to operations of the company both on site and in the office. Richard is also the key driver for our continued modernisation, leading on the development of new bespoke online systems.

In his spare time, he likes to cook and is famous for his Indian lamb curry. He keeps fit boxing, and he enjoys travelling.
